DIY Mullet / High-Low Skirt Tutorial

We see a lot of asymmetrical skirts these days, especially last Spring and Summer. I know, it's almost the Fall season in most countries now but it's never to late to wear a mullet skirt! :)

So let me show you how you can do your own high-low skirt!

I was tempted to buy a new maxi skirt at the mall because I wanted this project to be so good and look like I got it from a branded shop. But I thought it would be such a waste to distress a beautiful and expensive skirt just like that. Also, I wasn't really sure if I'd be able to cut the skirt properly. So I went for the next best thing--the thrift shop!

I got this sheer maxi skirt from a thrift aka "ukay" store near my home. The price? 50 pesos or $1! Crazy!

Please play the video for the tutorial:

It's really easy, right?

Just a reminder, if the cloth of the skirt is soft and looks like it will shed later, run the end quickly on fire. You may also use a lighted mosquito coil because it's safer and easier.

Let us know what you think of this project.
