Maybelline Clear Smooth 8-in-1 BB Cream Review

Most BB creams come from Korea and most of them are either pricey or hard to find. But did you know that American cosmetic brands have started making their own BB creams, too? One of them is Maybelline. And we all know that Maybelline is affordable and easy to find because you can find their counters at any local drugstores!

I was at the mall when I saw this cute packaging. More often that not, we girls admit that packaging attracts us first, right? I remember seeing my friends use this certain BB cream from Maybelline so I thought of giving it a try. With some free lip glosses, I thought it wasn't a bad deal.

PRICE :
BB Cream only - Php 299 ~ $7.3
BB Cream + 2 lip glosses - Php 398 ~ $9.7

SIZE
18 ml
Maybelline's BB Cream comes in 1 size. This is how it looks when held. To be honest, it's quite small comparing to my Korean brand BB creams. But if you need something that you can always toss in your pouch or purse, then this one is perfect.

Maybelline Clear Smooth 8-in-1 BB Cream moisturizes and protects the skin from harmful UVA and UVB with it's new improved SPF 50 PA +++ sun protection. It has an oil-free formula and relies on 8 minerals to rejuvenate the skin.

What it does to skin :

  • High UV Protection
  • Brightens
  • Evens out skin tone
  • Smoothes
  • Corrects
  • Conceals
  • Hydrates
  • 12 hour wear

Take a look at my skin before and after applying the BB cream

WHAT I LIKE :

  • Inexpensive
  • Easy to purchase
  • Comes in small size (for traveling or everyday kit)
  • Light coverage (easy to blend)
  • Didn't give me breakout
  • No weird smell
  • Feels light on the skin (no itchy and sticky feeling)
  • Doesn't leave white cast after application (blends with skin tone)

WHAT I DON'T LIKE :

  • Not good for covering scars
  • Small amount of cream in the tube
  • Leaves skin a bit oily after a few hours

To be honest, I wasn't not expecting too much from the product when I purchased it. I was rooting for Korean BB creams and thought nothing could ever surpass them. For the price 1/3 the price of Korean BB creams, I'd say Maybelline's isn't really bad. It's a good way to start trying BB creams. Perfect for students as it is affordable and since the coverage is light, you'll still look young and fresh.

I have sensitive skin, I'd know right away if the product suits me or not the 1st second I apply it on my face. This BB cream didn't make my skin feel itchy nor did it give me any breakout.

If you're looking for an everyday wear BB cream or if you're budget is tight, then you may want to try Maybelline's Clear Smooth BB Cream. It's a good one! :)
