Caffe Bene Eastwood

Reminiscing my all-time favorite Korean drama, Secret Garden! If you're also a fan of the drama then I'm sure you know this famous scene from it...
The "foam kiss".

I can't believe I was willing to go all the way to Gyeonggi Do, Icheon-shi just to go to Caffe Bene! The branch where they shot the episode was at their branch in Gyeonggi Do! (read here) Sooo far from Seoul! That's why I was so glad when they opened their first franchise here in Manila!

Sorry for the blurred shot. The sign was so bright and people were staring so I had to quickly snap the shot. :)
They opened a few months ago, though. But I only had the chance to visit now. Oh well, better super late than never! :)

Aside from the waffles, coffee and bingsu, I was more excited to see this huge clock...

because of this.

Now that I'm here, I must take hundred of photos with it!

Just kidding, just a few ones! :)

Came here with my friends Arrienne and Sheirmane. We went here after going to Hello Kitty Spa! What a fun-filled day for us!

Time to order!

It's so good to see that EVERYTHING in the cafe is the replica of what they have in Korea!

Except for the Filipino bartistas! :p

Waffle galore!

I went here to taste their red bean bingsu! (Shaved ice with red bean) But the barista told us they run out of 1 ingredient for it and they don't want to serve customers with sub-standard products. So, I ended up getting their Cookies and Cream Bingsu, their bingsu flavor of the month.
Cookies and Cream Bingsu (Php195)
Blueberry Cream Cheese Waffle (Php165)
Strawberry Yogurt (Php155)

The bingsu was quite pricey for a bowl shaved ice with bits of cookies and some red bean... But the bowl was huge enough for us 3 to share so still good.

You don't believe me? Here's a proof. It's not even the large bowl!

Good enough for friends and couples to share!

We wanted to explore the cafe so we went upstairs to annoy some people while we take more photos of us! (lol)

My friends and I promised we will go to more Korean Inspired cafes soon. But we couldn't help but compare Caffe Bene to one of our favorites, the Subspace Coffee. I guess what sets the two apart is the vibe. Subspace has the more funky and friendly vibe, while Caffe Bene radiates more quiet and tranquil vibeo, if not dready.

But that's just us! Nonetheless, we enjoyed the day and definitely loved the Red Beans aka Monggo in the Bingsu! More waffles, bingsus and Korean cafes soon! :)

Caffe Bene is located at Eastwood Citywalk 2, Libis, Quezon City!
