CNBLUE Can't Stop in Manila Concert Press Conference

This month is probably one of the most productive months for me -- K-pop-wise. Just this month I was able to attend 2 K-pop press conferences! If being productive means seeing as many K-pop stars in person as I could then by all means I would like to be the busiest person on Earth! hehe

Anyway, CNBLUE will be having their Can't Stop concert in Manila tomorrow, September 19, 2014 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. So today I attended their press conference at the Marco Polo Hotel in Ortigas. I was hoping I could sit in front, like on the 2nd or 3rd row so I went early.

I got there like an hour and a half early but there were already a lot of people. I ended up sitting on the 5th row, nearest to the center aisle. It's okay, though, I thought. If you are behind some people, you are also ahead of other people. hehe

The press conference was supposed to start at 5 PM but I think the boys got prepped up early so they went ahead and started the press conference at 4:30 PM.

When they got in, things got just a little bit unstable. Of course, people from the media want and need to take a good photo. So, some of them barged into the aisle.

So you either zoom your camera or get nearer to the stage. Of course, I chose the second option. Cropped top, shorts, heels and all! hehe

I know CNBLUE prior to the press conference but I was not really a fan. I did like Minhyuk when I watched him appear on Running Man with my other favorites Sunggyu, Minho, Bora, Chansung, etc. But still, I had to be close to the stage...

And I did! Hah! Look how close I was. I was right in the middle of the aisle. And oh my, is Minhyuk adorable or what?! And Jonghyun looks like a clothing model, so handsome! Yonghwa and Jungshin look tired, though.

Most of the time, Yong Hwa and Min Hyuk answered for the group. Min Hyuk was the most cheerful that day! I don't remember all the questions and answers because I was busy staring and taking photos. hehe Whenever I see a K-pop group, I make sure I stare. Pictures and Videos? You'll see a lot of those on the internet later. But you're probably never going to see them that close again. So might as well stare as much as you can. hehe (Sounds creepy, though. Sorry! hehe)

QUESTION : Who is the group or singer that you would like to work / collaborate with?

ANSWER : We would like to work with NELL.

OMG, Nell. Kim Sunggyu also likes them! In fact, he auditioned in Woollim just because he fanboys the group so much!

QUESTION : Jung Shin, we heard that you are into photography? What kind of pictures do you usually take?

JUNG SHIN : Because of our busy schedule, I don't have time to take photos these days. But when I can, I take pictures of my puppy.

QUESTION : Jong Hyun, we heard that you compose songs for the group, what kinds of songs do you usually write?

JONG HYUN : Well, when I'm sad I like to write happy songs. And when I am happy, I like to sad happy songs.

QUESTION : You've been here last year, do you have any memories from that year?

JUNG SHIN : We had a fan meet at a certain mall ( SM Megamall) and that was memorable because the fans welcomed us warmly!

The press conference lasted for 20 to 30 minutes but I failed to remember everything! hehe

How about a video to make up for it? Plus, watch MinHyuk as he applies lip gloss! hehe

Like, how cute is he? Ahh, so squishy! My friends likes him A LOT. And when she talks to me about Min Hyuk, I just call him "CHUBBY CHEEKS". In person, though, he really does have chubby cheeks! hehe So cute!

On the other note, Jung Shin looks seriously tired. I don't know... Has he always been this quiet?

Then, Jong Hyun. Who looks "cold" but might have a 4D character, too. hehe

Yong Hwa. My only decent photo of him. In my photos, he was either drinking water, looking away or just completely blurry.

And the fluffy bear Min Hyk. He does have that very distinct Korean feature but he still looks so, so adorable. I guess what drew me was his cheerfulness.

We actually had some quick interactions! hehe

First, I was waving like a crazy seal at him because I was staring and trying to remember his face so I could tell my friend later (the one who really likes him) how he is in person. All of a sudden, he smiled at me and waved back.

Second, I was staring (I hope I didn't look creepy, though) when he suddenly waved at me, again!

Third, I was staring (he probably thought I was a weirdo already) when he suddenly looked at me went "Yes?/Huh?" with an open mouth. I was caught off-guard and didn't know what to do. I wanted to shout "My friend likes you." but that would be way too creepy. lol. So, I just gave him a thumbs up and smiled. He smiled back and game me a thumbs up, too!

Or course, I failed to catch any of those in video or in picture. hehe But they happened!

QUESTION : Is there any place in the Philippines that you would like to visit?

MINHYUK : I saw on the internet that there is an aquarium (Manila Ocean Park) in the Philippines, we would like to go there.

You cute bear! I'm sure you have bigger ones in Korea but y u want go to Manila Ocean Park? hehe It's flattering, though!

JUNG SHIN : I heard there are lots of good beaches in the Philippines, I would like to go diving.

QUESTION : Is there any specific food that you would like to try here in the Philippines?

YONG HWA and MINHYUK : The last time, we ate Jollibee together and we thought it was delicious. Like similar to what we have in Korea. So, now that we are here, we would like to eat it!

And their answer was so funny! I mean, I bet some people would give top class food to artists and performers. But who would've thought that they would actually prefer food from Jollibee? I think Jollibee should start sponsoring K-pop concerts, too! Sandara Park tweets about Jollibee often. They even had a 2NE1 party at Jollibee when we were here. And now, CNBLUE mentioned them. hehe Tomorrow at the concert, I am sure Jolliibee stores around Gateway and Smart Araneta Colisuem are going to be filled!

MIN HYUK : (After hearing about Jung Shin's diving answer) Well, I don't want to go diving. I just want to go to the Water Park and then after that eat at Jollibee!

I was actually soft-shouting 제가 사줄게요! (I'll buy it for you!) but he didn't hear me. hehe

Okay, come here. Let me hug you and give you a bucket of Jollibee Chicken-joy! hehe

The host also said, Okay this question is for the maknae. And he went like, Ah yes, me, Minhyuk. hehe

No, I don't have foot fetish! hehe But they weren't wearing socks, though? hehe Can you guess who's who?

For the last words, they said that they would want to come back here next year when they release their next album.

They even said "Salamat!" and "Mahal kita!" :)

After that, they stood up for the photo op. I though Min Hyuk was going to be the tallest since my friend told me so.

And I noticed there were wearing same shoes and pants? hehe

They left the hall quickly. The photographers were all in front so I couldn't stay there any longer else I would get squished.

After that, the water bottles were left on the stage. Had this been on the actual concert, fans would want to take them for sure. But no one was interested so I took 2 and gave one to my friend. hehe

With my press con buddy that day, Erika!

And I also met Elaine. I read her blog a few months ago when I stumbled upon her OGS Manila posts. Her pictures are so amazing!

And of course, the person behind all my K-pop events and press conferences invites, Ms. Chezka of Araneta! Thank you, again! What to do without you? :)

When I left the hotel, it started raining crazy so I just went to Subspace for a coffee/tea and then I waited for my friend to get off work at 9 PM so I could give her the water bottle. hehe

It was a fun experience! Now I understand why my friend likes them a lot. They may not be the usual "dolled-up" pop group but they have their own color. And gotta admit that Min Hyuk really attracts fans!

Be sure to catch them live tomorrow, September 19, 2014 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum for the Can't Stop concert! For tickets, visit www.ticketnet.com.ph!
