Stained Glass Nail Art

I posted a photo of this nail art on Instagram and on Facebook asking you guys if this looked more like Stained Glass, Rubix Cube or Tetris. Many said this reminds you of the pretty stained glasses so therefore I named it as such. :)

However it was a little funny when some of my friends said this reminds them of Candy Crush. lol! Talk about adults being totally into computer games...

I remember how amused I when my grandparents brought me with them to the church when I was young. One thing that caught my attention then was the pretty walls and ceiling decorated with colorful stained glasses.

Doing this nail art design takes a little effort and not so much time. People who weren't blessed with steady hands can still do this as it is really easy and simple. :)

What you need :

  • Black nail polish (base)
  • Colorful polishes
  • Scissors
  • Nail dotter (to pick up the cut outs)
  • Wax paper or a glossy resealable plastic

What you need to do is apply 2-3 coats of the nail polishes on the glossy plastic. It's better if you apply more coats because it will be easier to peel off once it's dry.

Here is the step-by-step process :

Or you can just watch the video here for more detailed instruction :

It's really easy!

If you want to be like my friends and push through the 'candy crush' nail art, then you can use white base instead and change the nail polish colors to pastel ones. :)

I hope you liked this design! I'm happy that my designs are getting simpler and easier. Yay!

K-pop inspired naill art coming up this weekend. Can you guess which band/song/music video am I doing this time? :)
